About Brandi
Brandi Propas, MHSc, RD, CCDE has 20 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. After receiving her Master’s in Nutrition from the University of Toronto, Brandi spent her early years as a Registered Dietitian developing and managing one of the largest community-based Diabetes Education Centres in Toronto, Canada. Since moving to Cayman 16 years ago, Brandi has worked in private and hospital settings, providing nutrition counselling and education to patients for various conditions, including hypertension, bariatric surgery, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and food allergies and intolerances. Currently, Brandi works as a Registered Dietitian at Doctors Hospital. 6 years ago, Brandi earned her Caribbean Certified Diabetes Educator designation. In addition to teaching at tertiary institutions in Toronto, Brandi was an instructor for 10 years at the University College of the Cayman Islands and was responsible for developing the nutrition curriculum for both the Associate’s Degree program and the Nursing Degree program.
Brandi is a also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and works as a Quality Officer as part of Doctors Hospital’s Quality Team, ensuring patient safety and improved outcomes.
