About Alison
Dr. Alison J Beadsworth, a distinguished medical professional, holds several notable qualifications, including an LLB (Hons) and an MBBS, in addition to being recognized as a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. Graduating from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London University (Imperial College London) in 1997, Dr. Alison has amassed a wealth of experience as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, working in hospitals both in the UK and Qatar.
Beyond her impressive medical credentials, Dr. Beadsworth’s journey is characterized by a deep commitment to global humanitarian efforts. Initially studying Law, she embarked on her humanitarian mission in 1990 by volunteering in Romania during the aftermath of Ceausescu's fall. Witnessing the healthcare needs of the children there inspired her to transition to a career in medicine. Post-qualification, she continued her humanitarian endeavors and received the distinguished William Rutherford International Award from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Beadsworth co-founded the UK charity, Children on the Edge, and served as its chair of trustees. Her humanitarian efforts extend to volunteering with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) in Tanzania and holding an emergency registration with the British NGO UK-Med. Notably, she serves as a Disaster and Relief Team (DART) doctor with the charity Samaritan’s Purse and was deployed to Ukraine in 2022.
