About Sharon
Dr. Sharon Chambers is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and a UK-trained general rheumatologist with over 15 years of experience in treating adult patients with a wide variety of rheumatological problems.
She has a keen interest in research and served as co-investigator and principal investigator for clinical trials involving the use of biologic therapies in treating rheumatoid arthritis. She also carried out original research in systemic lupus erythematous (SLE) and obtained her MD(Res) from University College London in 2008. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Chambers worked as a consultant rheumatologist at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in Kent, England, prior to returning to the Caribbean.
She is passionate about a holistic and team-centred approach to patient care. She works closely with nutritionists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and other departments both locally and overseas, to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients.
