Interventional Radiology encompasses minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for diagnosis and medical treatment. The procedures can use X-rays, ultrasounds, CT or MRI to guide the operator in real-time, to provide targeted and accurate therapies, which make for safer treatment options in less time and faster post procedure recovery. Interventional radiologists possess a unique combination of skills. They are doctors trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Procedures.
