Doctors Hospital’s Oncologist, Dr Sanjay Awasthi, has over 30 years experience in cancer care and has conducted award-winning research in Oncology. He is devoted to serving every patient through diagnosis and personalised treatment plans. Treatments may involve a single or a combination of surgery, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy.

Treatment and care are administered based on a multidisciplinary approach that mobilizes all of the hospital’s specialists and diagnostic and testing services to ensure patients benefit from the highest possible levels of quality and safety.

  • Blood test for glucose and hypothyroidism every three years beginning at age 40
  • Cholesterol testing beginning in your twenties
  • Bone density scan at age 50 to check for osteoporosis
  • Pelvic exams and pap tests beginning at age 18
  • CT heart scan after age 55
  • Colonoscopies beginning at age 50
  • Flu shots every year and pneumonia vaccine every five years beginning at age 50
  • Upper GI endoscopy if you suffer from chronic heartburn
